Round biconvex uncoated tablets from light brown to brown interspersed.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION

Diarex-Himalaya agent is a multicomponent vegeto-mineral complex; its effect is based on its constituent components. The agent has an antidiarrheal, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant membrane stabilizing effect. The agent components of plant origin have antimicrobial activity against E.Coli, S.Typhi, V.Cholerae, Salmonella, Shigella. The agent does not violate the body's own intestinal microflora

PHARMACOKINETICS:

Since the Diarex-Himalaya agent is a multicomponent vegeto-mineral complex, the study of its pharmacokinetics is impossible.

RECOMMENDED INDICATIONS

The agent is used as part of complex therapy as well as an adjuvant.

Diarrhea of different origin: food-borne, allergic, infectious (bacterial, protozoal, viral). Irritable bowel syndrome.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to the agent components, intestinal obstruction, acute dysentery with bloody stools and fever. Child age under 6.

Precautions: Liver dysfunction.

INTAKE DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

The agent intake during the pregnancy is contraindicated. The issue of stopping breastfeeding should be resolved during the lactation period.

DOSAGE AND INTAKE METHODS

Peroral. Between the meals.
Children from 6 to 14 years old - 1 tablet BID.
Adults and children over 14 years old - 2 tablets BID.
The therapy course duration for acute diarrhea is 2-7 days.
The therapy course duration for chronic diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome is from 2 to 6 weeks.
If necessary, after a 2-week break, the therapy course can be repeated.
In cases of severe diarrhea the Diarex-Himalaya agent can be used as an adjunct therapy to standard treatment in the abovementioned doses.

SIDE EFFECTS

The allergic reactions are possible.
If you experience side effects that are not described in this instruction, please, inform your doctor.

OVERDOSE

No cases of overdose have been registered till the present moment. The treatment in case of overdose is symptomatic.

INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICINAL PRODUCTS

It is possible to use the agent with other drugs administered to relieve diarrhea syndrome. The agent intake in combination with antibiotics, antiviral agents and intestinal antiseptics increases the effectiveness of therapy and reduces the severity of chemotherapy side effects. Combined use with adsorbents, astringents and coating agents can lead to effectiveness decrease, therefore, the agent and adsorbent agent should be taken at least in three hours from each other.

SPECIAL WARNINGS

It is necessary to monitor the water and electrolyte imbalance symptoms and to take measures to eliminate them by replacing the lost fluid and electrolytes. In case of persisting diarrhea symptoms and worsening of patient's condition within three days of treatment, the agent should be discontinued; it is necessary to consult a therapist, infectious disease specialist or a gastroenterologist.

Effects on ability to drive and use machines.
The agent use does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities that require an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving, works with moving mechanisms).

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

Tablets. 100 tablets in a high density polyethylene plastic vial with a screw cap. The vial neck is additionally tightened with aluminum foil applied by the company's trademark. Each vial with instructions for use is placed in a cardboard box.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR STORAGE

In a dry place at a temperature of 10°C to 30°C.
Keep out of the reach of children.

EXPIRATION DATE

3 years.
Do not use after the expiration date.
